Stainless Steel 317 Tubes are fabricated from cold treatments for them to be used in Oil and Gas Industries The SS 317L Tubes that we provide are completely fine with being bended, flanged, fusion welding, and other forming processes. These SS 317 Tubes can be customized for our Clients according to their requirements.

Stainless Steel 317 Tubes have a lower carbon content in their chemical composition. Although SS 317L Tubes have excellent strength and a good amount of resistance against corrosion and these SS 317 Tubes can exhibit much stronger welds as the carbon content is low. for the Stainless Steel 317L Tubes have to be heated on low speeds and persistent feeds to lessen the work tendency of hardening it. For SS 317 Tubes, neither do we practice Oxyacetylene welding and nor would we recommend the same. Otherwise, welding can also be performed by the usual resistance and fusion techniques. SS 317L can be heat treated but only till 1149OC – 1260OC but it is better to not to exceed 927OC for safety reasons. For the optimizing of corrosion resistance, the process of post – annealing can be considered. The actions of shearing, stamping, heading and drawing are totally functional with SS 317L Tubes. However, post – work annealing is suggested to reduce and gradually eradicate the internal stress off the SS 317/317L Tubes. Above all, annealing has to be done with precision as annealing changes the entire form of the Stainless Steel and fixates it. Hence, the annealing must be carried out at 1010OC- 1121OC after which quick condensation is taking place.

The Stainless Steel 317/317L Tubes are utilized in Condensers in Fossils, Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Industry, Nuclear Fuelled Power Generation stations, Chemical and Petrochemical Equipment.

The Stainless Steel 317/317L Tubes’ hollow openings are closed with cap – like structures to avoid any damage to their edges and then the SS 317 Tubes are tightly wrapped and covered with a strong plastic sheet. A much protective packaging service can be provided by us, if required by the Clients.
